FAQ Numerology

What is numerology?

It all goes back to Pythagoras, a famous Greek mathematician who lived somewhere around 600 B.C. He believed that life was based on numerical patterns and viewed the human soul as immortal. He taught how our life paths dance to the tune of a certain frequency, the frequency or vibration of our birth date.

Each of us is unique. We are born on a specific date and time; energies released on that day characterize each one of us as an individual. The numbers making up our date of birth guide us to learn important lessons and help us fulfill our mission in life.

What is a birth path?

Your birth path is the number we arrive at when adding up each digit in your full date of birth. So if you were born January 1, 2011, 1+1+2+0+1+1=6. Your birth path would be a “6”. Six is the number of a teacher. Someone who is born to educate with patience and love. Sympathetic and supportive, they easily respond to social needs of others, while balancing unfairness and inequality.

Is the day you were born significant?

It is. If you were born on the 17th of any given month, you would add 1 and 7 together, reducing the digits to a single number: 8.
Power and abundance best describes the life cycle of a number 8. To be successful in the material world is their passion. Because of their strong individuality, physical drive and intense nature, those walking the 8 birth path or life cycle are chosen to command positions of authority and power. Ancient belief has it that the figure 8 represents the joining of the two spheres of heaven and earth.
